On the Plane: At the Airport

Things for Kids at San Francisco Airport (SFO)

San Francisco’s airport has always had some pretty good options for killing time. In the United terminal (Terminal 3) there are usually some pretty interesting exhibits set up in the long walkway from the main terminal. In the little spur area, there are also sometimes photography exhibits that are well done.

Well, SFO has added two items especially for kids. In Terminal 3 near gate 87A is the SFO’s Kids Spot. It has climbing equipment and some science machines created by the Exploratorium, the very popular science museum in San Francisco.

Meanwhile, over in Terminal 1 close to Boarding Area “C” is a new aquarium. I’m fascinated to see what this looks like, but it apparently has “three different tanks showcasing three distinct aquatic communities.’

If you’re at SFO and have some time to burn check it out!
