Kauai Beaches with Kids
Kauai has more than 50 miles of white sand beaches, more beaches per mile than any other Hawaiian island. Put on a snorkel to see an underwater jewel-box of reef fish—orange angelfish, yellow butterfly fish and blue striped snappers.
Swim only on beaches with lifeguards. Conditions change constantly, so monitor them before swimming. Waves come in sets. It can be calm for up to 20 minutes between dangers sets of huge waves. Beware of undertow.
