Bali is a delight, a peaceful enclave in a troubled Indonesia. We set out for a generic sun and sand kind of trip but ended up tucked into the middle of a living culture that seemed comfortable in accomodating tourists without becoming cheesy.

We found the prices reasonable-to-cheap. People were welcoming to our children. Some areas may be a bit less accessible to young children, but a quite nice vacation can be had with a little planning, or no planning and a little flexibility (the default option).
