Cardboard Boxes

For “one way” items, such as disposable diapers you certainly WON'T be bringing home, consider using a sturdy cardboard box instead of a suitcase. This way you won't haul around an empty suitcase once the diapers are exhausted in Prague.

When you check the box in at the airport you'll be asked to sign a scary waiver slip, which basically just says you know"€and the airline knows"€that you are checking a box and not a bag, and the airline wants no part of being responsible for a box getting scraped and marked up in handling. Since checked things can take some punishment, use a sturdy box (like the ones gallon jugs of spring water come in) even if the contents are not breakable.

Be sure to put your name on the inside and outside of the box.
